AE5JL

I'm an amateur radio operator in Albuquerque, NM. There's a lot more info on my personal website, jbcrawford.us.

Interests

I'm an apartment dweller, so despite my extra-class license I rarely operate HF. I am mostly found in the 2m and 70cm, and I'm most interested in digital modes. Because of my professional work in IT, I'm most intersted in mesh networking, "amateur WiFI", and other very-high-speed digital operations. Much of my involvement in the amateur community lately revolves around my volunteer work with the American Red Cross, where I am the disaster services technology lead for the Albuquerque, NM area - this leads to a lot of work in the area of EMCOMM and community partnerships, as I serve as a liaison to ARES and the greater amateur radio community.
